Ranked & Rating

Player ratings in Rhythmio evaluate peak accuracy across your strongest performances. This prevents grinding volume from artificially inflating your rank.

Profile rating formula

Your profile rating follows the DJMAX RESPECT V ladder calculation standard. The system sorts your single-player accuracy records in descending order, extracts your top 8 scores, and averages them:

Rating = Math.round(Average(Top 8 Accuracies) * 20)

The maximum achievable rating is 2000 points. A player averaging 99.80% accuracy across their top 8 charts reaches a rating of 1996. Because only your eight highest percentages count, improving an unranked or lower score will raise your profile rating, while poor runs on unfamiliar charts never decrease it.

Skill tiers

Rhythmio organizes profile ratings into eight distinct tiers. Each tier corresponds directly to an average accuracy floor across your top 8 charts.

These tier boundaries are shared constants defined across the client, backend, and web interface, ensuring your profile badge displays consistently everywhere.

Arena ELO rating

While your profile rating measures solo execution, RYO Arena uses a separate ELO rating system for 1v1 multiplayer matchmaking. New accounts start at a baseline of 1200 ELO. Winning an arena round against higher-ranked competitors yields larger ELO gains, whereas losses against lower-ranked opponents result in steeper deductions.

Leaderboard verification

Global ranked leaderboards only list scores verified by the game server. During multiplayer and ranked sessions, the server validates note counts, timing boundaries, and maximum score caps before accepting an entry. Solo practice plays save to your local profile history and update your personal rating, but do not post directly to global competitive ladders.
